Remembrance

On Friday 10th November South Farnham School held a Remembrance Service at both the Infant and Junior sites where the children reflected upon the importance of the Armistice and read letters from fallen soldiers. Additionally, Mrs Wagner took Year 6 children to the War Memorial in Gostrey Meadow to read poetry and lay wreaths on behalf of the Infants and Juniors.

Following on from last year’s winning entry from Rebecca Farnfield Never Such Innocence have invited children from South Farnham to be involved with their fourth and final year including taking children to RAF Odiham to engage with remembering the First World War. Children will be involved in a music workshop to create a poem or a song inspired by the First World War to perform at the event. They will also have the opportunity to visit the hangar to see the aircraft and equipment so they can have a proper hands-on experience!
