    Sport Relief Run

    The children had a wonderful time participating in the fun run for Sports Relief this lunch time! Each child donated £1 to complete as many laps of the astro pitch as possible. Many children opted for straight forward running whilst others used more creative methods, such as hopping, jumping or walking backwards. Teachers were seen skipping and tied together for a three-legged race. Take a look at the gallery for more photos

  • French Connection

    French Connection

    We were thrilled to be asked to visit Waverley Grange Care Home to speak some French with the residents. The children rose to the challenge and performed three French stories with enthusiasm. The children had a wonderful time and the residents loved it; they even enjoyed a waltz! There are now plans to continue with the French Connection Community Project, with future performances and conversations in French, so watch this space!

    To celebrate World Maths Day in Year 4, we discovered how John Napier found a way to multiply large numbers using bones! Oh and multiplication facts! We created our own ‘Napier’s bones’ and learnt how to find the answers to tricky multiplication questions without lifting a pencil.
