  • A31 Road Closure

    25/09/18

    I have received information from the community liaison officer for the Brightwells Regeneration Scheme which I have been asked to share with you regarding an upcoming lane closure on the A31. From 1st October, the Eastbound A31 will be reduced to one lane for a duration of 11 weeks from Red Lion Lane and Shepherd and Flock Roundabout. Please see the attached leaflet for your information.

  • Year 3 Places

    24/09/18

    You will be aware that our September 2018 Admissions Policy stated that if there was excessive oversubscription following the published reduction in PAN, the trustees would consider admitting an additional class in Year 3, for one year only, to accommodate additional children. Therefore this year we have five classes instead of  the usual four in order to help our friends at St Andrews.  This late change has resulted in two or three places still being available that we would like to fill in the next fortnight. If you, or anyone you know, are interested please contact the school office to speak with the Headteacher.

  • Rabbi Visit to Year 5

    24/09/18

    Year 5 enjoyed a fascinating hands-on workshop with a Jewish rabbi as part of their RE curriculum. They learned about the Jewish autumn festivals, including Rosh Hashanah, and had the opportunity to taste some traditional challah bread and honey cake.

  • Sailing Champions

    12/09/18

    Daisy Fuller and her Dad Chris, competed in the Mirror Dinghy National Sailing Championship in Ullswater early this Summer.

    To everyone's great delight they beat all 44 other competitors comfortably and brought home a huge haul of 7 trophies and became the Mirror National Champions 2018. The next challenge is the World Championships held later this year, where they hope for a challenging top10 position.
