Ask your child to name people who can help them when they’re stuck/in trouble. Look through the PowerPoint PDF at pictures of scenarios – who would they ask to help? Talk about who the emergency services are. Go further through the pictures – would they call the emergency services? Which emergency service would they ask for? Watch: Learning to call 999 on YouTube. Discuss what they should say and practice on a toy phone/drawing of a phone.

Science | To observe changes across all four seasons. | Take your child on a 'spring walk'. Explain to your child that they are going to use the information from their spring walk to create an information page about the current season (spring). Use a blank A4 or A3 sheet of printing paper to draw and label different characteristics of spring, ranging from the colour of leaves on the trees to the birth of different animals, certain blooming of different flowers etc. Afterwards, discuss the differences between autumn, winter, spring and summer. | |||
