Practice Based Inquiry
At South Farnham School we have a history of working in the field of Research and Development and employ a researcher to support us with these programmes.
As a Teaching School we use Practice-Based Inquiry as a research strategy for generating accurate findings about the quality of learning and teaching in school settings and incorporate research within our school self-evaluation and planning processes.
We presently have teaching practitioners undertaking research in the following areas:
- 'Does gender affect a Year 1 child's achievement level in reading?'
- 'How children conceptualise decimal place value.'
