On September 1st 2011 South Farnham School became one of the first 100 schools to be appointed a Teaching School. This designation followed the Government White Paper which set out the principles of a self-improving school system to be led and facilitated through Teaching Schools.

By 2014 there was a network of 500 outstanding teaching school alliances driving significant improvement in schools

Our role as a Teaching School is to:-

· Collaboratively deliver ITT, CPD, Leadership Development, School-to-School Support and Research and Development

· Designate and broker Specialist Leaders in Education (SLE)

· Develop the next generation of school leaders

We are delighted to take on this important strategic role which places us at the heart of the national educational agenda.
