On Thursday, 13^th February, Year 1 embraced Japan through their exploration of the Japanese language and culture. All pupils benefited from a rotation of enrichment activities, including Japanese characters in English; counting from 0-10 in Maths; martial arts in Physical Education; traditional songs in Music; painting in Art and Design; as well as Buddhism in Religious Education. Everyone put so much effort into making their costumes as authentic as possible, ranging from martial arts to more traditional kimono, yukata and hakama. What a memorable day! Arigato.
